With relentless energy and a signature roar, Bronx riser Kenzo Balla is running a blitz in NYC’s drill scene with a no holds barred attitude. Refusing to let up on the opposition as he runs up a sack, Kenzo keeps his defense tight as he shares Mr. Ready To Blitz (Deluxe), out now via 10K Projects. Loaded with 5 new tracks and a feature from Kyle Richh from Brooklyn’s buzzing rap crew 41, Mr. Ready To Blitz (Deluxe) offers more reasons why Kenzo is a necessary voice in the drill community. He offers the perspective of an inner-city young adult hustling his way to the top, while maneuvering through the perils of his environment. On tracks like “Losing Control, Pt. 2,” Kenzo’s abrasive lyricism paints the picture of him in constant survival mode, rapping, “On the ave, sh*t getting risky/Walk in the store, I’m clutching on my 60.” On “Villain,” he leaves room to flex as he raps, “These n****s rookies, I’m the vet/On bro, n****s better show me some respect.” So far, Kenzo dropped the video for “PSA” ft. Kyle Richh off of MRTB (Deluxe), but stay tuned for more videos soon.
Released November 15, Mr. Ready To Blitz earned praise from NPR, Billboard, HotNewHipHop, and more. Bursting onto the scene with an impressive debut EP, Kenzo Balla has the stamina to outlast his competitors. Check out the tracklist for Mr. Ready To Blitz (Deluxe) below – note that the five new songs make up tracks 1-5.
