BLK Presents – “Vax That Thang Up” Feat. Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, and Mia X

When news broke that the Biden administration fell short of its goal to have 70% of U.S. adults vaccinated (at least partially) by July 4, 2021, BLK – the largest dating app for Black singles – sprung into action with a tuneful solution.

Today, the dating app announced that it has partnered with rap legends Juvenile, Mannie Fresh and Mia X to turn the iconic record “Back That Thang Up” into the new vaccine anthem. With vaccines taking over for the 2020 and 2021, this new partnership is encouraging Black people to “Vax That Thang Up.”

As the US continues to strive towards herd immunity, despite the new variant threat, people are ready to return to some form of normalcy, and BLK’s whimsical reboot is centered around a clear message: dating is better once you’re vaccinated.

“We have a direct line to the audience that needs to internalize this message,” said Jonathan Kirkland, BLK Head of Brand & Marketing.

In addition to the new anthem, BLK unveiled its “Vaxified” badge on the app, allowing singles to promote their vaccinated status to prospective matches.

For one night only, Rolling Loud and the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) have partnered for an exclusive experience that’s truly unique in every sense of the word. The WWE will bring Friday Night SmackDown to the Rolling Loud mainstage on Friday, July 23rd.

The July 23rd edition of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX will feature a split-site broadcast with multiples matches at RL Miami, and the remainder of the televised event held at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, OH.

This is the first ever collaboration between the WWE and a major music festival.

“We couldn’t think of a better partner to deliver such a unique WWE experience to fans during the July 23 edition of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX,” said Scott Zanghellini, WWE Senior Vice President, Revenue Strategy & Development.

Rolling Loud continues to set the standard on how to up the ante in the war on festivals. While a major part of amassing ticket sales is influenced by who’s performing, this new add-on to the Rolling Loud experience will assuredly take fan engagement to new levels.
