New Music Friday | The Homies, Aitch, BigKayBeezy, Drego & Beno, and Doodie Lo

New Music Week 29

Here’s this weeks’ rundown of new music from some of your favorite artists in the game.

The Homies – It’s A Lot Going On

It’s A Lot Going On in the world, but The Homies second studio album is here to save the day. Across 14-tracks that explore the nuances of reality, reason, and perspective, the four emcees balance waggish rhymes over breezy instrumentals, amounting to a body of work that sounds like no other.

Aitch Close To Home

Aitch‘s highly-anticipated debut album, Close To Home, has arrived. The Platinum-selling recording artist has quietly become one of the most sought after newcomers in rap. The 15-track LP includes features from Ashanti, AJ Tracey, Ed Sheeran, and more. From vignettes of his childhood to personal shortcomings and everything in between, Close To Home is an expansive collection of music.

BigKayBeezy – Cold Case

BigKayBeezy ascends from Chicago’s storied streets to release his new LP, Cold Case. The project features appearances by PGF Nuk, Lil Zay Osama, Big Yavo, and Shoebox Baby. Across 13-tracks, Beezy remains his authentic self while documenting life through a street-centric lens.

Doodie Lo – I Swear to God

Doodie Lo keeps the spirit of drill alive with “I Swear to God.” In the video, the OTF signee turns a recording session into a performance scene, surrounded by his comrades and label head, Lil Durk. With no sign of slowing down, the Kankakee, IL riser is inching towards becoming a standalone star in his own right, as evidenced by his recent string of increasingly popular releases.

Drego & Beno – Vaxuum Sealed (feat. BabyTron)

With a new album (S.W.W.T.) due next week, Drego & Beno tap BabyTron for their latest single, “Vaxxum Sealed.” This track finds the Michigan mainstays trading boisterous rhymes over an uptempo instrumental that accentuates their combined effort to talk as much shit as possible.
