New Music Friday | Shy Glizzy, Lancey Foux, Hit-Boy, Trapland Pat, and Dax

New Music

Here’s this weeks’ rundown of new music from some of your favorite artists in the game.

Shy Glizzy – MMY Freestyle

Young Jefe is in rare form. While most of today’s rappers are busy portraying a manufactured image, Shy Glizzy leans on fashion (Maison Mihara Yasuhiro) to guide listeners through a narrative of paper chasing, coming-of-age moments and everything in between with “MMY Freestyle.”

Lancey Foux – SPIRIT OF X2C

If there’s anything Lancey Foux knows, it’s how to serenade listeners over a piano-laden instrumental. Ahead of his highly-anticipated album, LIFE IN HELL (October 28th), the London native unveils “SPIRIT OF X2C” – a warmly euphoric record that’s filled with soaring harmonies and the wondrousness of love.

Hit-Boy – Tony Fontana III (feat. Curren$y)

Hit-Boy has ascended from behind the boards to double down on his commitment to delivering hits (no pun intended), teaming up with Curren$y aka Spitta Andretti for the “Tony Fontana III” music video. This track is a subtle reminder that it takes time to get better – because after all, it’s a marathon, not a race.

Trapland Pat – Vibes

Trapland Pat is bringing the neo-soul “Vibes” to South Florida in his latest single. Over a jazzy instrumental, the animated rapper delivers a medley of easily digestible one-liners as he teeters between getting money and pimpin’.

Dax – Depression

Dax relies on his storytelling ability to inspire a larger conversation about mental illness in his new video single, “Depression.” Through a no-holds-barred approach, and a tangled mix of vulnerability and self-reflection, the Canadian luminary delivers some of his most honest lyrics to date, letting his subconscious flow as a means to find peace of mind.
