YoungBoy Never Broke Again proved that he can match any pocket by teaming up with Mariah the Scientist for his R&B-tinged smash single “Rear View.” Plus, Memphis rapstar NLE Choppa released his sophomore album Cottonwood 2. But this is just the tip of the iceberg; there’s more new music.

Check out a few of our favorite drops from this week.

Ice Spice & Nicki Minaj, Princess Diana

Ice Spice & Nicki Minaj prove that there’s enough room in the queendom for two crowns. The “Princess Diana” remix finds New York’s baddest duo teaming up for a much needed collaboration. In the video, Spice and Minaj bring the song’s lyrics to life by just having fun, twerking their way into becoming a trending topic over the weekend.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Rear View feat. Mariah the Scientist

NBA Youngboy teams up with Mariah the Scientist for his latest release. As the second single from his new album, Don’t Try This At Home, YB gets personal with “Rear View.” This time around, he leads with a vulnerable approach to tackle relationship problems, trauma, and everything in between. With his emotions emphatically oozing out of his calm delivery, YoungBoy croons while Mariah offers a fresh perspective on heartbreak.

NLE Choppa, Cottonwood 2

Memphis mainstay NLE Choppa releases his highly-anticipated sophomore album, Cottonwood 2. The 22-track project is home to a blockbuster list of collaborations, which includes Lil Wayne, Kevin Gates, Rick Ross, Lola Brooke, Fivio Foreign, Duke Deuce, Polo G, and more. Alongside new music, Choppa shares a visual anecdote of how success changes people with “Talk Different.” In the video, he relishes in the limelight and raps with a rapid-fire delivery, all set to booming bass and echoing vocals.

Pi’erre Bourne, Grails

Pi’erre Bourne reveals a new EP that was years in the making. Grails is the latest drop from the SossHouse frontman, who’s fresh off his first-ever Coachella performance. The 8-track project is a culmination of fan-favorite snippets and teasers that have been collecting dust over the years, re-recorded and packaged to release for the first time. Laced with synthesized beat patterns and Bourne’s wordplay-heavy flow, the lauded beatmaker finally gives the people what they want; more of his otherworldly synths and video-game-like melodies.

Doe Boy, Roll The Dice feat. Dej Loaf

Cleveland rapper Doe Boy is evolving. This time around, Doe teams up with DeJ Loaf for his romantic new single “Roll The Dice.” In unprecedented fashion, the duo gamble on love, whisper sweet nothings to each other, and lean heavily into woozy R&B with vulnerable confessions.
