We recently sat down with producer/artist KaSaunJ for an exclusive “Off The Porch” Interview! During our conversation he discussed producing for Trapboy Freddy last year, learning to go hard as a lesson from last year, growing up in Jacksonville North Carolina, growing up in a trailer park, making the decision to start making music at 12, the turning point in his career after he graduated school in 2016, getting a buzz after Dae Dae “What You Mean”, Nicki Minaj rapping on one of his beats, working with PaperLovee, cooking up Quay & Fat Trel, finding different artists through blogs including Dirty Glove Bastard, jumping off the porch at 9 years old after his dad got locked up, having to take care of himself at a very young age, getting his Associate’s degree in Science, currently pursuing his Bachelor’s in Computer Science, addressing the different type of producers, the importance of networking as producer, future label endeavors, creative process as a producer, people stealing his producer tag, and more!
