Lil Migo, the rawest emerging voice of the burgeoning Memphis hip-hop scene, whose landmark tracks “No Love In My Heart” and “Letter 2 The Industry” have earned over 25 million combined views, drops the brand new track “Cheated,” available today via Heavy Camp | 4TH & B’WAY | Def Jam Recordings. The release coincides with Migo’s participation during BET Awards Radio Room this week.
“Cheated” is one of six new previously unreleased bonus tracks to be included on the upcoming King Of the Trap 2 Deluxe expanded edition mixtape, follow-up to Migo’s breakthrough last year, King Of the Trap 2 (November 2021). Stay tuned for news of the video premieres for “Cheated” and another bonus track, “Bad Bitch.”
Lil Migo’s latest saga began with the arrival of King Of the Trap in early 2021. Packed with features by Moneybagg Yo, Rich The Kid, Yo Gotti, Big 30, 42 Dugg, and fellow Memphis native Blac Youngsta, the mixtape quickly piled up over 5 million streams. In addition to looks from The Knockturnal, RESPECT magazine and others, Substream raved, “Lil Migo is the talk of the town in hip-hop right now. The Memphis recording artist is trailblazing a path to top billing with his new album, King Of the Trap.”
Seizing the moment, Lil Migo came back strong in November with King Of the Trap 2, a 15-track collection of all new material with guests Blac Youngsta, Quavo (“Migo Shit”), Duke Deuce, Lil Jairmy, Fresco Trey (“We Ball”), and OJ da Juiceman. The long-player’s centerpiece, “Rumors 3” was the sequel to “Rumors” and “Rumors 2,” based on a true story. “In Memphis,” Lil Migo said, “you are going to learn fast streetwise and the proper way to move. If you make it in Memphis, you can make it anywhere. You learn how to move in life.”
