We recently linked back up with Vegas rapper Tha Landlord for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our sit down he talked about why he wasn’t focused on music last year, explains what inspired him to get back to making music, explains the title ‘Permanent Scars’, opening up about his life & pain in his music, recording the new album being very therapeutic for him, fans reaching out to him to tell him how much his music means to them, having hip-hop legends tatted on his back, his love for hip-hop, his growth as an artist from when he first start rapping, breaks down all of the songs on the new album, reveals who Cheese is that he raps about on “Minors”, his song “Pain Holders” being one of the deepest ones on the album, speaks on his childhood friend Cap who passed away, losing his father last year, having a close relationship with his father, “One Week Love” being about falling in love quickly, gives out advice on the song “Talking To You”, reminiscing on the song “02”, his thoughts on the courts using rappers’ lyrics against them in criminal cases, making a couple songs for the women, the inspiration for the song “Control What I Can”, the only feature on the album being Savant The 9, the outdo song “Signing Off”, using music as a therapy, labels not pushing conscious music, putting together a documentary for the album, giving back to his community, upcoming song with NoCap, upcoming ‘StarLord’ project, plans to drop 4 albums in 2023, and much more!
