A week from dropping a tape chalked full of fire verses, Big Jade is back with a new video for arguably the hardest freestyle from the project. Channeling Busta Rhymes on his 1997 classic, “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See” finds Jade working her rapid fire flow, taking aim squarely at haters, warning them not to mess with her when she’s off the Don Julio: “Do you really wanna rumble with me?/I’ll beat your ass where everybody can see/You can bring yo mama, you ain’t gotta be deep.” Her style is elite in the video. Check it out below.
This is the latest video from her recent EP, Jade Wins which dropped last week via Alamo Records. The project pays homage to some of rap’s biggest and best records. She puts her Texas spin on classic’s such as Kelis‘s “Milkshake,” and Lil Mama‘s “Lip Gloss,” which Jade shared as a music video earlier this summer. The wholeTo me, where Jade shines brightest on this collection of freestyles and remixes is when she flips songs like Z-Ro‘s “Mo City Don” and Lil’ Keke‘s “Southside.” It’s clear that Jade has studied what’s made Texas rap so vital to the game, and she’s here to prove that she’s ready to carry the torch for years to come.
