Whenever Doodie Lo hits the studio, he always takes an off-the-cuff approach to any instrumental thrown his way. He doesn’t reach for a pen and paper – he vibes out with his homies and lets his words float over the beat. “I Swear To God” is proof positive that the Kankakee, IL riser is just as confident in his words as he is in his actions. Bodying a bass-heavy beat with his grainy rasp, Doodie dishes out more promises in less than 2 minutes than a campaigning politician could in an election season. Unlike those politicians, Doodie puts his money where his mouth is, taking aim at internet thugs with iron-tough bars: “All that talking tough on the net, now you dead now/You better not get on the side of this vet, you get fanned down/Doodie Lo the man now, all my old h*es fanned out.” Surrounded by his bros, including his label head Lil Durk, Doodie Lo reminds you that his crew doesn’t mess around – and he swears by it.
