Video: Nathaniel The Great “Cash Out”

Brooklyn’s own Nathaniel the Great deliver’s his new single “Cash Out,” a boisterous track that sees the singer practically drowning in luxury. The second the Th3Shooters-directed video  begins, the multi-talented artist is seen hopping into a helicopter in the Hollywood Hills flexing a Mike Amiri tee, an iced out with a cuban chain and several diamond rings. Scenes of the video show the artist on Rodeo drive and in various Beverly Hills, complete with luxury cars and stores. However, Nathaniel is quick to point out that he’s from “a city of vultures” [referring to Brooklyn] and that all of his wealth wasn’t easy to earn.

With lyrics like “had to get it out the mud for real, sex, money, murder and drugs for real … from the mud and now we up for real,” the singer-songwriter gives his listeners a glimpse into the hardships he endured in his youth, to where he is in his life now. The singer brings a fresh sound to contemporary R&B and sets the tone for paving his own lane.

“It’s a song about the triumph of coming from nothing, to ending up right where you want to be,” Nathaniel said of the new single.

Growing up with seven siblings and a single mother in Brooklyn’s Fort Greene Housing projects, Nathaniel, born Nathaniel Peterson, says that he used music as his ticket out and the rest was history.

Since then, Peterson has worked with the likes of Drake, French Montana, DJ Khaled, Swizz Beats and many others. He’s also appeared in XXL Magazine, The Source, Billboard, and Rolling Stone — among others. After a decade of working with some of the biggest artists on the planet, Nathaniel the Great is still on top of his game. In 2020, he gained over 2 million global streams, launched his label Born Great Music, and signed its first act; Xay Oblivion.

Nathaniel The Great aims to continue to focus on putting out music that delivers good vibes and positive energy.
