ShooterGang Kony has been heralded as one of the West Coast’s most
exciting young artists for his ability to balance heartbreaking street stories with hilarious
punchlines and offering something new on each record. Today, he announced his next studio
album, Starshooter, which will be released September 9th via EMPIRE. The 17-track album
includes features from Toosii, Lil Poppa, Lil Bean, Teejay3k, KalanFrfr, Baby Tron and more.
Kony gave the first taste of the new album earlier this summer with the release of videos for
“Over They Head” and “Up2Date.” In addition to announcing the project’s release date, Kony
let loose his new single “JumpMan” along with a brutally funny and irreverent music video
directed by Mikey Rare. From the basketball court to the oval office, the classroom to the
ER, Kony gets disrespectful over a sample from One Way’s “Cutie Pie” and production from
