Video: That Mexican OT “Ben Over”

Setting his sights on party soundtrack glory, Texas rapper That Mexican OT is back with an explosive new single titled “Ben Over,” out today via Geffen Records. Listen HERE. The high-energy track is accompanied by a dizzying new video from DGreenFilmz, capturing the freewheeling excesses of the Bay City native and his hard-partying crew. Watch below!

“Ben Over” finds That Mexican OT in high gear, turning up the BPMs for maximum adrenaline. His raunchy, rapid-fire bars are expertly coupled with thumping, malevolent beats produced by Kato Made This and Blvnts to create a self-assured anthem made to soundtrack good times. “I was in the car vibing and smoking with a friend,” That Mexican OT says of the first time he heard the booming instrumental. “The song took me almost a month to write, but once I figured out the hook it flowed. Rap beats are easy for me to walk on, but I’m tryna run.” The track’s low-key origin is reflected in the video, which is full of close-ups of overflowing cups and That Mexican OT’s diamond-encrusted smile.

The new single arrives hot on the heels on “Kick Doe Click,” a more introspective cut paying tribute to the South Side crew that showed him that rap game’s slippery ropes. This new era is the culmination of the rapper born Virgil Rene Gazca’s lifelong hustle, first crafting rhymes as young as 4-years-old and recording his first album by the age of 10. Born in Bay City and raised in Austin, That Mexican OT was forged on the streets, learning tough lessons from his peers and surviving even tougher circumstances to pursue his dreams and true purpose.

“It”s going to be a rollercoaster ride and I’m so excited for my fans to hear it,” That Mexican OT says of his new music. With tracks like “Ben Over” already out and a project on the way in 2022, it’s clear the fun is only just beginning.
