Does it ever feel like life is moving too fast and you need a moment for reflection? Wacotron can relate – sharing the video for “The Blues,” the Lone Star state riser ruminates on his journey from a small town dreamer to the voice of Waco, TX. Over a calming guitar-led production by Waco’s AL-D Productions, Wacotron expresses his gratitude for the highs and lows. Leaving no room for complaints, he makes it clear his experiences only motivate him to be greater: “So ‘fore your time up, go get it now/It ain’t no telling where you wind up/From the bottom, I went through hell just to climb up.” Capturing glimpses of his neighborhood in a VHS-style visual, Wacotron is putting on for his city one banger at a time!
“The Blues” is a standout track from Waco’s November mixtape, Out The Blue. Including production from Southside & 808 Mafia and Marshmello, and features from Doe Boy and Derez De’Shon, Out The Blue is out now via Pick Six Records.
