Video: YN Jay – 72 Hours

It’s YN Jay‘s world, and we’re all living in it. Less than a week removed from the release of Coochie Chronicles, his latest collection of off-kilter and weird, yet wonderfully unique and catchy Michigan rap fare, Jay shares the video for “72 Hours.” The track features a low-key and somber, piano-led instrumental, which Jay attacks with a torrent of deeply funny bars in his trademark slick-talking flow: “You ain’t know I was an Airbender, b****, I make wind/I’ll punch a n**** in the store, make him break wind.” In the video, directed by NTRO4K Films, YN Jay posts up on his lonely with several stacks of cash, all while delivering his unique brand of rap music and plotting his next move.

“72 Hours” is the latest video release from Coochie Chronicles, Jay’s fiery new full-length project. With the help of innovative Flint-area producers like ENRGY and Marc Boomin–who combine wavy melodies with thudding 808s–Jay ushers listeners into his sex-crazed mind, wielding a slip-sliding, start-stopping flow as he unleashes a torrent of punchlines and outrageous boasts. The project is home to the viral hit “Triple S,” which inspired more than 500k video creations on TikTok, and its remix, which features a brand new verse from Coi Leray, the recent single “Oxyyyyy,” a paean to Jay’s favorite narcotic, and his signature song “Coochie,” a collaboration with Jay’s close friend Louie Ray that has more than 29 million YouTube views. Featuring an additional appearance from Flint heavy-hitter Rio Da Yung OGCoochie Chronicles is available everywhere via Alamo Records.
