Video: Young Dolph “On God”

Working the independent grind to become one of the biggest rappers in the South, Young Dolph’s flexing cannot be contained to one country, continent, or even hemisphere. Hopping across the Atlantic for a luxurious trip to London, Dolph shuts down the city in “On God,” his latest video. Produced by Don Cannon, “On God” is a triumphant anthem. Though he’s dedicated to the art of getting money, Dolph never forgets where he comes from: “Nobody from my side of town ever did this/A billion dollars, the only thing on my wish list.” In the video, Dolph travels to the UK with his ice blue Audi and a cadre of scantily-clad models, shutting down the theater district as British admirers look on. “On God” is the latest video from Role Model (Paper Route EMPIRE), Dolph’s 2018 project, following the moving video for “Black Queen,” which features a co-starring appearance from Dolph’s mother.

Peaking at #15 on the Billboard 200, Role Model provides a new context for Dolph’s braggadocio and sets an example for rising independent rappers and anyone else trying to get out the mud. Role Model finds Dolph leveling up, experimenting with new flows and raising his boastful bars to a superhuman level. Featuring appearances from Snoop Dogg, Offset, Key Glock, and Kash Doll, Role Model is Dolph’s origin story, establishing him as a symbol of hope to kids in the hood who desperately want to improve their lives. Earlier this year, Dolph announced the final stages of the #ThatsMajorChallenge, inspired by his video for “Major,” featuring Key Glock, offering to gift a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat to the maker of the best user-generated content for the song. Stay tuned for much more from Young Dolph in 2019.
