Continuing his staggering ascension, rapper/entrepreneur 5ive Mics signed a deal with Warner Music Groups 300 Ent. for his label D.R.O.P. Records. The deal is the largest a hip-hop influencer has ever signed with a label. The contract comes after 5ive dropped the runaway successful project “Can’t Knock The Hustle” & he was seemingly everywhere in 2022.
Drop Records has artists like Math Hoffa, J-HAZE, DiddyBopDaBoss, and T.Mcnight. Rap legend Lord Jamar will serve as the head A&R of the label. One of the upcoming releases will be J-HAZE’s “No Tomorrow” project which is rumored to be potentially one of the top releases of 2023 from those who’ve heard him recording it. 5ive Mics tells Dirty Glove that “D.R.O.P. Records is bringing back the classic sound of hip-hop with a new twist to it!!!” Judging by the recent releases from 5ive Mics & the rest of the roster, his prediction seems likely to come to fruition.
