In celebration of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary, Grammy award-winning producer Hit-Boy & his dad Big Hit partnered with Amazon Music to release their new single “Boo Bop.” The accompanying visual finds Big Hit mobbing through New York City and making the most of his newfound freedom. After serving a 9-year prison sentence, the Pasadena native has hit the ground running since and has been recording music with his son like there’s no tomorrow.
Together they have become the father-son duo hip-hop never knew it needed, and their latest move invites fans around the world into the booth. The #BooBopChallenge is the latest trend on TikTok that gives users the chance to pen a verse to a Hit-Boy beat – for free.
