We recently sat down with Orlando’s emerging artist VV$ Ken for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During his interview he discussed the West Orlando culture, growing up wanting to get a degree and play sports, jumping off the porch in high school, biggest life lesson he learned while being in the streets, getting locked up, his mom finding out about him making money in the streets, not being able to tell her that he was in the streets, getting kicked out after the incident, music coming into play in 2019 after he got locked up, violating probation by not checking in, after getting released for his second time he got in the booth, didn’t know how to jump on the beat at first, switching from rapping to more of a melodic sound, sneaking his song during the dice game and his friends praising him for his first single, not having as much support for him after coming from the streets into pursing music, earning his respect in music, getting signed 5 months after he started rapping, how he got introduced to Tory Lanez, Tory listening to his “Reloaded” single, motivating Tory to make one of his biggest records, being inspired by his future and using that to continue to make music, dropping his debut tape this year, working with Spotemgotem on “Don’t Get Hit”  and more!
