The Game explains, “I’m loyal to Compton and will always shed light on my city. With that comes the trials and tribulations of life on the streets. We tried to educate people with my documentary Streets of Compton, so they could walk away with a little more knowledge than they had before. Now, here’s another light in the form of a gaming app and some new music for your entertainment. That said, I’m calling out the hip-hop community to rise up, come together and use our platforms to force change and make an impact against injustice in this world. No more just posting a hashtag or photo saying we gotta change. Our fans support us and we got to support them back. Use what you got to really help the next person. We gotta take real actions to make this a better world. These are our people and they need us. We got to give back. #YouGottaGiveAFuck #YouGottaCare.”
The Game has taken action in the form of a peaceful movement to stop the violence in the midst of the national focus on police shootings of African-American men. Along with Snoop Dogg, The Game led a peaceful march to the LAPD headquarters and has been working with Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck to make the city a safer place. Along with a PSA to stop the cycle of violence between the minority communities and the police, The Game has organized a town-hall style meeting of various Los Angeles gangs to make the streets a little safer.
Stay tuned as The Game will also be releasing a new music video for his current Scott Storch produced single “All Eyez” featuring Jeremih. The single debuted at #1 Most Added at Urban Radio and is currently Top 40 on the Rhythmic Radio Airplay Chart. In the meantime, fans can also catch The Game at his upcoming 1992Block Wars Tour performances. List of tour dates below.
