The Brooklyn-based rap collective SURF GANG headed by producer EvilGiane who arose on the scene with their critically-acclaimed 2021 debut album SGV1, has shared their new album AT LEAST WE TRIED and a new video for “SUNDAY SERVICE” (feat. 1600j). The new 8-track album serves as a proper reintroduction for SURF GANG, as the group has evolved from its DIY roots to now solidifying itself as the premiere group of NYC. AT LEAST WE TRIED is an exhibition of the seamless collaboration, forward-thinking musicality, and limitless charisma that make up SURF GANG.

On “DELAY”, Polo Perks and Moh Baretta trade quick-paced verses over a pumping bass & zany keys, courtesy of EvilGiane. The regal visual for “SUNDAY SERVICE” directed by Harrison finds Moh Baretta, Pasto Flocco, and 1600j performing their interwoven verses with the stoic backdrop of The Met Cloisters.The previously released single, “LA FREESTYLE”, showcases SURF GANG’s dexterity, with RealYungPhil, a long-time associate of the group, providing his signature nonchalant braggadocio alongside Polo Perks & Pasto Flocco.
