It’s the most wonderful time of the year and LunchMoney Lewis is here to bring some holiday cheer. Last seen serenading a love interest in Europe with some help from Kenny Sharp on “Say I Won’t,” the Florida-based triple threat does his best Santa impression with the release of “Christmas In Miami.” Co-produced alongside BrianXWhite and Diem & TheOnlyDiet, the Jazzy Soul single was originally written for The Tonight Show and won’t appear on Lewis’ forthcoming ‘A Good Time For No Reason’ project.

“I originally wrote the song for Jimmy Fallon. I sat at the piano and played basically the same chords I usually go to, and called it ‘Christmas in Manhattan,’ but when I found out that Jimmy wasn’t going to use it, I decided to keep it and call it ‘Christmas in Miami,’ which works out perfectly. A few lyric changes later and here we are. Happy holidays, everyone!”

The triple threat is best known for his work with Dr. Luke as a producer, and first broke into wide recognition as a rapper after appearing on the song “Trini Dem Girls” from Nicki Minaj’s 2014 album ‘The Pinkprint.’ He also co-wrote Jessie J’s single “Burnin’ Up” from her album ‘Sweet Talker,’ and Fifth Harmony’s single “Bo$$” from the album ‘Reflection.’ In 2015, he released his debut single as a solo artist, “Bills”, which peaked at 79 on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at number one on the ARIA Charts.

Below he discusses the community fridges in Miami he’s involved with, working with Meghan Trainor, meeting and recording with Doja Cat, being on Nicki Minaj’s Pinkprint, his favorite places to shop for clothes, Lil $o$o and why he signed her, & much more.
